A Heart with Thanksgiving

My result for semester 2 was out yesterday. My heart was thumping faster as I opened the UMS portal. I told my heart that whatever my result is, I will always give thanks. And here I wanna say that I'm so blessed and thankful as my pointer shot up to kepala 3!

YEAHHH!!!!THANK YOU JESUS!!!

The feeling is like jumping high in the air & flyyy!!!!!!!!

God is good all the time! I remembered I once prayed that: Jesus, if the pointer 3.00 is more than enough for me. He gave more than I could ever asked for. A small tears ran down my face as I gave thanks to Him. I flashback all the hardships and difficulties I went through last sem. It was the toughest sem and I can't believe I went through it all. Assignments + Midterms + Final Exams + Viva + Thesis + my pelayanan. My biggest challenge was my thesis. All those crying, hurt, humiliation, tired, frustration, depression yada yada yada.. I say, IT WAS WORTH IT :) hahahahahaha I wanna laugh as hard as I could *more like evil laugh, a revenge to the hurt and the pain I'd been though* When I think back, I couldn't manage my time between my study, thesis and perlayanan if not because of prayers. Jesus makes it all possible. Thank You Jesus :)

Fellowship with HOPE

Praise God for tonight's fellowship with Hope's Live group. It had been long time since I joined Ella and other Hope's members, back when I was in my freshmen year :) I enjoyed the time with them. Very inspiring message and words of encouragement from the Bible. One thing, I was so touched by the Holy Spirit when we prayed just now. I cried all the way.. His present was so strong and reminded me of Saviournet Trust Ministry at Miri. :) How I long for it.. Although I'm from Anglican Church, but I don't care which church I'm worshiping at. It is the eagerness of heart that seek God is important. The sharing for tonight was on Filemon 1: 1-3:

"Dari Paulus, seorang hukuman karena Kristus Yesus dan dari Timotius saudara kita, kepada Filemon yang kekasih, teman sekerja kami dan kepada Apfia saudara perempuan kita dan kepada Arkhipus, teman seperjuangan kita dan kepada jemmat di rumahmu:Kasih karunia dan damai sejahtera dari Allah, Bapa kita dan dari Tuhan Yesus Kristus menyertai kamu."

There are 5 for live (if I remembered it correctly): Nabi, Rasul, Penginjil, Gembala but i forgot the other one.. Anggap kita ini bekerja di sebuah syarikat Yesus sdn bhd dimana ada beberapa Jabatan atau unit didalamnya yang mempunyai tugasan yang berbeza: Jabatan Nabi, Jabatan Rasul, Jabatan Penginjil dan Jabatan Gembala.

Jabatan Nabi

-example: Nabi Musa, Nabi Nathan...

-Nabi ialah seseorang yang menjadi perantaraan atau orang tengah Tuhan dengan manusia. Di dalam Alkitab, dahulu, Tuhan berwahyu dengan Nabi dan Nabi akan menyampaikan wahyu Tuhan kepada umat Israel. Selain itu juga, Nabi juga sebagai utusan untuk menyedarkan umatnya. Contoh ialah apabila Nabi Nathan dihantar kepada Raja Daud untuk menyedarkan Raja Daud untuk bertaubat kerana dia telah berzina dan melanggar perintah Tuhan. Selain itu, Nabi ialah seseorang yang boleh mengintepretasikan atau menyatakan isi hati Tuhan. For me personally, this gift is wonderful. It's like the relationship between God is so close. The question is, how many of church members are "Nabi"?

Jabatan Rasul

-example: Rasul Paulus

- Jesus said, "Go and be the disciple of all nation."

-Rasul ialah seseorang yang menjaga/ nourish perjalanan spiritual gereja.

-dalam surat rasul Paulus kepada Corintus, Efisus dan sebagainya, dia selalu mendorong gereja-gereja di Corintus untuk tetap setia di dalam Tuhan. Dia tidak pernah mengabaikan tanggung jawabnya untuk terus setia mendorong mereka.

-example: cell leader dalam kelompok cell

-mereka inilah yang memantau perjalanan iman/ spiritual setiap ahli-ahli cell nya.

-ya, mereka sudah menerima Yesus dalam hidup mereka tetapi mereka juga perlu dibimbing dalam pertumbuhan iman mereka.

Jabatan Penginjilan

-Penginjil ialah seseorang yang pergi ke pelbagai tempat untuk membritakan Injil Kristus.

-Pengingjil bukan sahaja pergi menbritakan Injil tetapi setelah seseorang itu menerima injil Kristus, Penginjil perlu memastikan pertumbuhan rohani mereka sentiasa dijaga atau dibimbing walaupun penginjil tidak berada di suatu tempat itu lagi.

-example: apabila kita pergi ke suatu tempat dengan misi untuk membritakan Khabar Baik Yesus Kristus, jangan kita menbritakannya sahaja tetapi setelah kita meninggalkan tempat itu, kita perlu keep in touch dengan mereka yang baru sahaja menerima Khabar Baik itu agar iman mereka bertumbuh step by step.

Jabatan Gembala

-Gembala ialah seseorang yang mengajar tentang Firman Tuhan.

-example: Pastor, Reverence

-mereka bukan hanya berkhotbah tiap-tiap minggu tetapi mereka inilah yang melihat keperluan orang (see the needs of others)

-mereka juga seseorang yang amat concern akan pertumbuhan rohani dan iman gereja. after they see the needs of others, then they will try their best to help others.

-example: Rev. Timothy dari Greja Kristus Raja (Christ The King). Dalam Tahun Pernuaian Besar ini, CTK telah mengadakan pelbagai kursus perlengkapan (equipping seminar) seperti Healing Ministry dari Pastor Flora, Return to Wholeness oleh Rev. Kenneth Thien, Kebaktian Bahasa Cina buat pertama kalinya di CTK, (Kebaktian Kebangunan Rohani)KKR oleh Rev. Augustine Saang pada minggu depan buat pertama kalinya di CTK, Vocal class (March), kursus Alpha (Alpha Course) pada Mac, dan Healing Rally oleh Bill Z. di Tawau.

All in all, we're not just talking about spreading the Good News to the world but we really doing it and different gifts have different peranan on how to spread the Good News. This is what I learn at the fellowship. Now that I know how does it works. Praise God :)

A Year of Great Harvest

Hi and hello again. Haven't visit this blog for ages. I hope I will write more in this blog since it's new year 2011, I think there're gonna be a lot of things happens. A Year of Great Harvest is my church's theme for 2011. The theme is very inspiring and interesting to me. It's like something great and good is going to happen this year. I believe this year will be a blessed year where revival comes and transformation will happened in this church, and also in our lives of each of us.

The vision for CTK: Being disciples, making disciples and mission: To build a strong church that glorifies God through lively worship, lifestyle evangelism and living discipleship. It was a great sermon by Rev. Timothy this morning. I always inspired by his sermon because I believe that Rev. Tim is a man with great passion for God. His message always powerful, refreshing and inspire. I'm so blessed that God placed Rev. Tim at Christ The King.

There are so many things that he shared just now but one that struck me was, he said that the reason why church can't experience God during Sunday service is because we don't have personal worship in our lives. Personal worship means we spending time to study and meditate on the word of God, always pray, have fellowship in the cell group and so on. If we don't have personal worship in our lives, then when we come to church, we feel empty, we feel nothing.

I believe it's true because I feel the same thing. The more we meditate on the word of God and pray, the more we know God. And the more we experience God. Likewise, if we less meditate on the word of God and pray, the less we know God and the less we experience God. The Bible said, those who seek Him will find Him.

I'm so thankful that in my 3 years growing in faith and serving God in Christ The King, never in my life God forsake me or shortage my needs. He always provide because He is Jehovah Jireh (God of Provider). I admit that, serving in the church sometimes tiring but see what God's blessing for me while I was faithful serving Him: I have no financial problems(when I'm insufficient, my parents always bank in), I have good health and most of all, although my pointers never achieved figure 3, my pointer keep on increasing for every semester. Praise God! I believe, if God's will, my PNGK will get 3, Amen to that! Thank you, Jesus =)

During holidays, I went hang out with friends. One of our conversation was about religion. They are Christian alright but they said that, they are free-thinker. And they seem quite happy and satisfied with it. I was about to say something about it but I don't know why, I couldn't utter a word. Deep inside my heart, I feel sad. Sad because they don't understand what Christian is.

For me personally, I won't call Christian as a religion. Christian, for my definition is GOD himself. Imagine if there is no God. I think there's no meaning or purpose in this life. Why? Where do I find comfort when I'm sad? Who will heal me when my heart get hurt by somebody? Where do I seek strength when I'm too weak to face reality? Where do I get hope when there is no hope in this world? Who will defend me when the world accused me? Where do I find love where there is no love? I can't face this alone because I need someone who understand me and share the burden.

I can go doing something else like hanging out with friends, clubbing to enjoy or release my sadness,tension and so on but the excitement is just temporary. Eternal happiness and joy only finds in Jesus. Why so? Because It's everlasting, never end, and it's refreshing. At the same time, experiencing God's love. People can walk in and out of our lives but Jesus won't walk out of our lives if only we accept Him into our heart. So many blessing and good things He wanna give us, it just that we don't want to accept Him. When bad stuffs happen to us, we blame God. Is it fair?

People always said church is only for people who are holy.I say, church is a place when the world cant give hope, church is the right place to be. Church should giving hope to people who are broken-hearted, sick, lose hope, having relationship problems with family, friends or someone, it's just like a hospital. When we sick, we seek help from doctor.What for we go to hospital if we're not sick right? It's the same with church. Those who not going to church is the one who is holy because they think they are good enough that they don't need God. Does it makes any sense?

People have their own belief and thought. So do I. THIS is what I believe, what I trust, what I hope. Jesus Christ.
